This page contains information on how to
request a wildlife art commission to your own specifications from Philip
Eglise.
You can also buy animal prints or animal art originals from ArtvArc Wildlife Art. Refer to the pages Wildlife
Art Originals or Wildlife Art
Prints for further information. Animal commissions are one of
our specialties and you can even request a commission of a dinosaur or
other prehistoric creature. All work is carried out to a very
high, scientifically accurate level. Please check out the Art
Gallery pages to see some of the artwork.
SIZES
For simplicity, all wildlife art
commissions are sized to A5 (8.25x5.8 inches), A4 (11.7x8.25 inches) or A3 (16.5x11.7 inches).
However, if you have particular size requirements for your piece then
this can always be accommodated. Please just make your requests on
the wildlife art commissions request form below under the 'Do you have any other particular requirements?'
field. These sizes are just given for simplicity and because they
are the most commonly requested. Also, it makes the rough price
approximations shown below more simple.
A natural area of 'white space' is left
around the subject and the edges of the paper to allow for framing.
Please note that all animal commissions are sold unframed.
MEDIA
All wildlife art commissions will be created using
graphite pencils on extremely high-quality, heavy-duty 'Bristol
Board'. This is a thick (up to 250gsm weight), extra smooth paper
which is my favoured paper to draw on. This is because the smooth
surface lends itself well to highly detailed, pencil fine-art and is
also very sturdy, thus preventing damage.
PRICES
Prices can vary depending upon the
specifics of the wildlife art commission you request, however, as a guide, the
following approximate prices usually apply. Please note that these
prices are a rough guide only.
A5 (8.25x6 inches) £75
A4 (11.7x8.25 inches) £130
A3 (16.5x11.7 inches) £250
A deposit of 10% of the
full invoice value is chargeable before work can begin. However,
this only need be sent after your request has been received and the
commission agreed upon. At this point, the exact value of this
deposit will be made clear.
All commission prices quoted include
UK mainland postage by
Royal Mail Special Delivery, or equivalent alternative. An alternative,
insured delivery method for foreign destinations will apply, however, an
additional charge will be made for this. This means that
someone must be present to sign for the delivery. If you prefer to
have the artwork mailed by a different method then please mention this
at the time of ordering.
TIMESCALES
The largest standard size for an
illustration is A3 (16.5x11.7 inches). You should allow 40 days
from the time your order is accepted (an e-mail will be sent to you to
confirm this) for a piece of this size to be completed. If, for any reason, it
looks like it will take longer than this, you will always be notified in
advance. At this point, you may choose to cancel your order and
you will not be charged any money. A period of 1 calendar month should be allowed for a
piece of smaller size. Drawings of prehistoric wildlife tend to
take longer due to the larger amount of time and work which goes into
researching the subject. If you require the picture at short
notice then please just let me know and every effort will be made to
complete it within a shorter timescale if current workloads make this possible.
WOULD YOU LIKE A NEW PICTURE CREATED BUT
ONLY HAVE A PRINT OF IT RATHER THAN THE ARTWORK ORIGINAL?
This can easily be accommodated. If you
would like to own a print of an animal which does not already exist here
on ArtvArc, you can request a commission via the normal wildlife art
commission process (complete and submit the form on this page), but specify at the time of ordering in the 'Do
you have any other particular requirements?' field that you only
wish to purchase it as a print and not original. Normal print
charges as above will apply to this. The original will then be
placed in the main gallery for purchase.
SUBJECTS
All requests must be of prehistoric or
modern wildlife only. To ensure absolute, realistic accuracy, all my
artwork is
carried out from my own research material. This means that I am only able to
fulfill commissions of wildlife subjects which appear in the list
below. This list only includes mammals as these are the most
easily accessible, and most frequently requested animals. If you would like a piece made of an
animal, of any type, which is not included in this list then please ask
and I will be very happy to see what I can do to help.
When you are happy that you are able to
fully describe the artwork you require then please complete the form
below and submit it using the 'submit' button at the end.
Please note that as with all sales from
ArtvArc, the copyright to the image never forms part of the sale.
Copyright always remains with the artist, even after sale of an original
or print.
If you are requesting an item to be
shipped to a non U.K. address then please ensure that you have read, and
fully understood, the following information here.
